Tallwood
Elementary School offers a continum of
Special Education
Programs. These programs can include itinerant services,
inclusion, consultation, resource room, and self-contained
classes. Tallwood provides classes for the learning disabled,
educable mentally retarded, and developmentally delayed. Speech
and Language therapy is available to preschoolers through fifth
grade.
A
Special Education Committee meets weekly to
screen, evaluate, and monitor any student suspected of having a
learning disablity or currently being served with an
Individualized Educational Plan.
