Our
Kindergarten program of study encompasses the personal,
physical, and intellectual development of each student.
Literacy Tree by Rigby, a strong
literature, language and comprehensive program, is used for our
language arts instruction. The focus of this program is oral
and written
language skills that include phonemic awareness, phonics, and
decoding skills.
The goals of our math program, Everyday
Mathematics, is to guide the students to
understanding of early problem-solving skills through the use
of many hands-on materials and games.
Weekly trips to our Library Media
Center, and
biweekly visits to the Computer Resource Center and Music Room
provide our students with varied resource activities.
Among
our field trips, our December excursion to the Francis Land
House is a favored highlight of the winter season.
