What is Relay for Life?

Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society's signature activity, and it is a life-changing event. It offers everyone an opportunity to participate in the fight against cancer. Some team members will camp out overnight at Landstown Middle School and take turns walking around a track. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event. Team members have fun while raising awareness as well as funds to fight cancer. No matter who you are, there's a place for you at the Relay.

Mission Statement:

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life represents the hope that those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, that those who face cancer will be supported, and that one day cancer will be eliminated. Through Relay For Life, we mobilize the world's largest movement to defeat cancer once and for all. We're fighting for every birthday, threatened by every type of cancer, in every community. We are committed to helping people get well, stay well, find cures, and fight back against cancer. As a team, we strive to deliver the important message of prevention, early detection, and where to turn for help.
